Stronger Together

Stronger Together: The Gratitude Tree with Amaranta from ArtMaranth School

Thursday, January 8th, 2026, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm
Via zoom! You will receive the link via email prior to the event.

Join us for The Gratitude Tree, where we will explore the simple and powerful practice of gratitude through the four A’s: appreciation, approval, admiration, and attention. This will be an interactive art experience, so please bring paper and any drawing or writing utensils you enjoy.  Together we will reflect on what enriches our lives, try meaningful practices like journaling and mindful acknowledgment, and explore how gratitude can be a daily attitude instead of a momentary feeling. Come ready to breathe, notice, and grow something uplifting.

We recommend having a paper and pencil on hand.

$25 GIFT CARD RAFFLE!

Meet Amaranta:
I am a South Seattle based Artist. I grew up in Mexico City but after living 2 decades in the PNW, I call it my home. I am a Ceramist graduate from Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. The learning never ends as I like to experiment with new mediums.

As the Creative Director of ArtMaranth School, I provide bilingual arts programs at festivals, schools, and libraries. All these different components of my practice, go hand and hand, celebrating Mexican American heritage, sharing spaces with community, connecting with PNW Nature while creating unique experiences.

As a Teaching Artist my work has been dedicated to make art accessible to underrepresented communities while adapting and learning new technology. The libraries have been my major sponsor for over a decade.

My Youth & Community Mural Apprenticeship had helped facilitate this from intro to materials and techniques, applying 21 century skills: critical thinking, collaboration, communication and creativity that responds to each site, beautifying open spaces.

Since 2018, she has been the Producer, Performer, and Curator of the Frida Kahlo live installation, transforming her live paintings into a community engagement installation. This is now 100% multigenerational production shading light and celebrating our diversity with our Latinidad.

My studio practice weaves through multidisciplinary mediums clay, glass mosaics, acrylics, paper sculptures etc. Her paintings had gloomy background landscapes, whimsical goddesses, paper sculptures.
